Die cracking during metal stamping is a very common situation, but at a more serious time, a stencil was suddenly divided into several pieces. Perhaps, there are many situations that cause the template to crack. From the selection of raw materials for stamping dies to the process of stamping operations, it can cause harm. The reasons for die cracking during metal stamping are:

1. Improper blanking
No demagnetization solution and no return tip before production; There are jammed materials such as broken needles and broken yellow in production; There is no material leakage, or rolling blockage or stepping blockage when assembling the mold. This is the most common. If the assembly engineer does not pay attention, such as when there are many blanking holes, or when the mold has a protective cushion, this situation is most likely to occur.

2. Improper design process
The compressive strength of the mold is insufficient, the wound interval is too close, the mold design is not scientific, and the number of template blocks is insufficient.

3. Quenching and tempering: deformation caused by poor heat treatment and quenching process
Practical experience, the heat treatment quality of the mold is very harmful to the characteristics and service life of the mold. From the analysis of statistical analysis of mold ineffectiveness, it is known that "safety accidents" caused by thermal negligence of molds account for about 40%.

4. Improper die cutting
Ground hanging wire cutting, wire cutting gap solves the error, and does not make the angle and the moldy layer harm of wire cutting. The tooth surface of the stamping die is mostly processed by wire cutting.
Due to the thermoelectric effect of the wire cutting process and the effect of the electrolytic method, the mold manufacturing surface layer must create a thick moldy layer, which results in a reduction in the surface layer strength and the occurrence of microscope cracks. The stamping dies that cause wire cutting are prone to initial damage, which immediately endangers the maintenance of the cold stamping gap of the die and the tooth surface is very easy to chip, which reduces the service life of the die. Therefore, in the online cutting process, an effective electrical standard should be selected to avoid the deep layer of the moldy layer as much as possible.

5. Insufficient pressing force of high-speed punching machine equipment
The tonnage of the high-speed punch is small, the cold punch pressure is insufficient, and the die adjustment is probably too deep. The precision and rigidity of a stamping machine (such as a stamping machine) is extremely important to the damage to the service life of the stamping die. The precision and rigidity of the stamping machine tool is good, and the service life of the stamping die is greatly improved. For example: the raw material of the complex ferrite core stamping die is Crl2MoV, which is applied to the general open-type punching machine, and the average regrind service life is 1-3 million times; The application of new high-precision stamping machines, the service life of stamping dies reaches 60-12 thousand times.
