1. SUS304 (stainless steel):
The most used stainless steel, because it contains Ni, is more resistant to corrosion and heat than Cr steel, and has low temperature strength, so the mechanical properties are very good. Very large work hardening, heat treatment is not hardened, non-magnetic, good strength, no more flexible, it is often used between the thickness of 0.4T ~ 1.0T. It is now widely used in Notebook often in Bracket structural strength needs, The number of stages must be specified in order to meet the design requirements. Generally, it is better to take 3/4H. If it is required to be drawn, if it is used in LCD bracket, it is best to take 1/2H.

2. SUS301 (stainless steel):
The composition of Cr (chromium) is lower than that of SUS304, and the corrosion resistance is poor, but the cold processing can obtain a very high degree of drawing and hardness, and its characteristics are widely used. Because of its good elasticity, it is often widely used in EMI for notebooks to make elastic contact parts, but the thickness is usually between 0.4T and 0.07T.
The number of stages must be specified in order to meet the design requirements (such as elasticity, strength). It should also be noted that the 301 material has a metallic crystalline directionality. The more advanced the more the harder and more brittle, if the molding does not pay attention, it is easy to cause corners and sidewall cracks.

SUS 301 : Suitable for elastic use, high carbon content, high hardness, not easy to be elastic and fatigue. Poor ductility and difficult to stretch.
SUS 304 : Not suitable for elastic use, low carbon content and low hardness (soft).
SUS 430 : The material contains more impurities (impurity), resulting in unstable hardness.
Remarks:
  1. If the hardness is close, such as (SUS 301 3/4H and SUS 304 H), although the hardness is the same, SUS 304 H is more likely to cause elastic fatigue on elastic products.
2. Material thickness affects hardness tolerance (the thicker the tolerance is, the greater the tolerance).
        

3. AL1050 (aluminum alloy):
The material contains pure aluminum, light material, good heat dissipation, difficult to process materials, relatively low strength, excellent formability, weldability and corrosion resistance.
Therefore, it is currently used in notebooks for heat sinks.

4. AL5052 (aluminum alloy):
Good heat dissipation, hard material, strong strength, good formability, weldability and corrosion resistance, but the material is not easy to process.

5. Carbon tool steel SK3, SK5, SK7:
For high carbon steel with carbon content of 0.6% or more, the quenching hardness is SK3, SK5 is HrC50~60, SK7 is rC5O~55, and the wear resistance is good, which is a cheaper tool steel. Used for sliding parts, etc. Guide pins, guide bushings, ejector pins, re-sales, etc., which require hardness and wear resistance. After heat treatment, the strength, rigidity and recovery are better than SUS 301 H. Therefore, it is currently used in Notebooks for structural areas that need to be reinforced (such as brackets) and parts that require high elasticity (such as clips and shrapnel, spring pins). But its drawback is the area after heat treatment warpage is easy modification and hard and brittle, in use should be noted.

6. Tic grade / HRB70 / HRC36 Titanium : Reference price: 1600NT/Kg .
(advantage)
Light weight - the specific gravity is only 4.52 (stainless steel is 7.93).
High temperature resistance - melting point up to 1668 ° C, and fast heat dissipation.
Corrosion-resistant - free from acid and alkali, corrosive substances, can be stored forever.
Tough, wear-resistant - pure titanium surface hardness, toughness is not easy to scratch, wear.
Human affinity - It is less susceptible to allergies to the skin of the human body, and the color is mild and not glare. It has antibacterial properties, shape memory, no magnetism, and never rust.

High activity - it is not easy to get rid of the mold during secondary processing.
Especially when the titanium component is impure and has impurities, it is more likely to occur.
