Application of Thermal Energy and Electrolysis to Deburring of Parts Cross Holes

By manually handling the burrs of the hydraulic valve, only the visible burrs on some surfaces can be removed, and the burrs cannot be completely removed. The best way to deburr the hydraulic valve cross hole now is thermal energy and electrolytic deburring.

Thermal deburring It uses hydrogen and oxygen to mix in a closed working chamber for processing the workpiece. Instantly igniting and burning, and in a very short time, a severe thermochemical reaction with the surface burr of the workpiece to achieve the purpose of removing burrs.


Electrolytic deburring technology uses electrical energy and chemical energy to dissolve the anode to remove burrs. The mechanical part is connected to the anode of the DC power source as an anode, and the forming tool is connected to the cathode of the DC power source as a cathode, and a certain gap is maintained between the two poles to allow the electrolyte to circulate. When the anode and the cathode are immersed in the solution and a direct current is applied, an electrolytic reaction occurs on the surface of the anode. The surface of the mechanical part is dissolved by the metal and the electrolyte forms a viscous liquid concentrated in the low recess of the surface of the mechanical part, with high resistance and less corrosion; The burr protrudes from the surface of the mechanical part, and the liquid film is difficult to form under the influence of the temperature difference. After power-on, the power line is highly concentrated on the burr. The burr closest to the cathode will dissolve at the fastest speed until the burrs are completely dissolved, and the edges gradually form rounded corners, which is the purpose of deburring.

Although the above two deburring processes can achieve the purpose of burr and burr removal of intersecting lines in the valve body. But there are still some differences, mainly in the following three aspects:

 
1, processing limited. The heat of the gas is not perforated, and if it is limited to a certain part, it cannot be processed. Electrolytic deburring can be used to deburr the specific position of the workpiece by insulating the parts that do not need to be processed.

2, the workpiece material. Electrolysis can deburr all conductive metal workpieces; Thermal energy can deburr the workpieces of materials such as zinc, aluminum, copper, steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hot melt plastics.

3, processing costs. The consumption of heat energy is mainly gas and electricity; Electrolytic deburring must first make a mold, which is a big expense. Therefore, considering the processing cost, electrolysis is only suitable for the processing of workpieces of a single variety and large quantities.
